Do you need to get a personal loan, but you know you have bad credit? This does not necessarily mean that you cannot get a loan that is large enough to cover what you need it to cover. Getting a $10,000 personal loan for bad credit is still possible, if you know where to look and what to do.

Lenders are out there to help you, but they will have requirements. You will not be judged solely on your credit, though and it should not stand in the way of you getting your loan. Here are the options you have for a personal loan.

First, you are going to need one of three things if you have bad credit. You will need either a co signer, some collateral, or a handful of payday lenders. This is the only way you are going to get a $10,000 loan with bad credit.

There will be no other loan for you if your credit is bad so these are your options to choose from. Now you need to know where to go and look for this type of loan. Plus you need to weigh the risks and rewards to make sure you really need the loan.

The best collateral is a home or a piece of property. These usually have a large value and if you have some equity built up they can work out very well for you. A vehicle will work as well, but it might not be large enough to cover the entire loan amount.

If you do not have any collateral, then you can always get someone with good credit to co sign for you. This will give the bank or lender the security they need to give you the loan that you need. This is necessary when your collateral is not worth $10,000 or if you want the loan to be unsecured.

Even with a co signer sometimes you need collateral to help you get the loan you are after. It just depends on how bad your credit is, what your income is, and which lender you try to go through. Some lenders are easier to work with than others.

The final option is to use what are called payday loans to get the $10,000 personal loan for bad credit you seek. This will probably make your credit worse because you will need between 10 and 15 of these loans to get to a full $10,000. They will have to be paid back pretty quickly so you will probably end up not paying them and ruining your credit. However, if it is an emergency it is still an option.
